Wide-Angle Wednesday and BOOKED!

Whooohoooo!  It's official as of this morning!  My Princess 1/2 room & tickets are booked for 2014!!!  In honor of that, the wide-angle Wednesday shot MUST be one of my Disney shots!

and you know I cannot just do ONE shot for such an occasion!  So, a shot to commemorate the resort we chose!  Can you guess where we will be staying?  This will be the first thing I eat when we arrive.  It's tradition.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but this will be a Princess-only trip, we decided because of finances that it would just be me, Savannah, & her friend Eleanor (who has never been to WDW before!) I'm so excited that it's official!

Anybody else book for 2014 this morning?  Do you have a special treat at WDW that you always have to get?

    1. WOOT! Margaritas! I must have a pineapple margarita in the cave when I get back! I didn't book with a TA only b/c I did my Disney math and *think* I can get a better discount with a general public discount...but I'm kind of playing Russian-roulette! I'm a big control freak as well, so didn't really want to hand over my Disney-obsessed-control! LOL! Looks like they have some pretty decent deals vs. rack rate right now though! :)

    1. You are going to WDW on Sunday!!!!!!! Ah, I'm so jealous! I'm also jealous that you can post on my blog but my computer is being stupid and won't let me post on yours. It's also not loading pages right sometimes on sites. I need to figure out what the dealio is. Oh, you need to have a Grey Goose slushie for me on Sunday! Nummy! ;)

  4. SO EXCITING!!! I remember when I booked my hotel, tickets and plane tickets. I felt like I was finally going, that it wasn't just a dream of sorts, they were actual plans. That's when I really felt like I needed to start training. But I was also so giddy with excitement that I was in a total Disney haze for the next week or two. Looking at resort pics, reading articles about what is new there, listening to music from the resorts, all that good stuff. I think I even started making a packing list and rough draft itinerary(I'm a planner, you know!).

BTW- I LOVE your picture of the fireworks, GORGEOUS! I wish I had your skills, lady. As for a guess on where you are staying...those are some bright colors, so I would think one of the Port Orleans resorts, or possibly the Caribbean Beach resort?
I stayed at the Caribbean for PHM this year and LOVED the resort. The beds were a tad small for a moderate resort (doubles instead of queens) but the grounds were lovely and there were TONS of bus stops around the resort with a SUPER quick ride to and from Epcot, which is good when you are sore after running a half marathon! :)

    Wow this post is long...sorry.

    1. NEVER apologize for a long post, I love them! :)

I'm a planner too (duh..we're twinkies again!) and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE planning Disney trips! This one will require extra-special planning with the half! I'm in a little bit of a Disney-denial-daze right this moment, it doesn't feel quite real! We're doing a Value this trip, it's Savannah's favorites, and pleasing on the budget (well...except rack rates for the values are pretty high, so I better find a discount or get a pin before the trip! LOL)

    2. Value resorts are great places to stay! I've stayed at All-Star Sports before and it was such a great value with appropriately appointed rooms. I've heard such great things about Pop and would like to stay there sometime myself.

Planning Disney trips are my favorite (twinkies again!). That would be a fun job (if it wasn't a commission based job) to have, helping people plan their trips to the parks. I get all crazy planner with itineraries for each day, detailing parks and their hours, places to find discount eats and drinks, shows to see, etc all broken down by day. My hubby just rolls his eyes, but still plays along. You're going to have such a FANTASTIC trip and make so many wonderful memories. I can't wait to see the pics and read the stories!!!

    3. Yep, people tell me I should do it for a business (like I don't already have enough business with petsitting and photography! LOL) but I worry that if people didn't want to DO DISNEY the way I think they should, I wouldn't enjoy it. LOL. Rey thinks it's funny how much I plan, but he also knows SO much now about Disney and thinks he's a hot-shot when he knows things other people don't! ;)

  5. Don't have any plans to visit WDW in 2014... yet. ;) But I did book my flight to Disneyland for Tink! :) At Disneyland the husband always has to have a churro. Sometimes once a day. lol. :)

    1. Yay for Tink!!!!! Ah, churros! I wonder if they are the same as the ones at World Showcase or if they are different! One day I will get to Disneyland! Well, I actually did go to DL when I was 13 but it was SO long ago and I barely remember anything.

  6. I am just loving your fireworks shot, how appropriate!
Hmmm, from the other pic I can not tell here you are staying. My guesses will be Caribbean Beach ( just because of the cup, it looks beachy) or maybe Pop Century (Just because of the funky looking dessert, which by the way I have never seen before. What is it?)

I don't have a special treat at Disney as of yet. Believe it or not I am probably one of the few people who don't eat a lot at Disney. ( i just don't want to take the time...haha) Although I have made it a tradition of getting those popcorn buckets at the park. It's like two treats in one. Popcorn always taste better at Disney, and you get a soveiner bucket to take home. Although over the years mine have walked off somehow!

I will be going for PHM weekend as well but have not booked yet. We have given our family a deadline on Aug 15 to tell us who's going and who's not.
Boy that was a long post, Sorry! Congrats on getting everything set up for Feb!

    1. Lacey or Meranda (haha, I don't know which one of you this was!) you are right...it's Pop Century! This is their famous tie-dye cheesecake, it has red velvet cake on the bottom and is SOOOOOO good! They only have it at Pop and I have to get it (ahem...at LEAST once) every trip! Yum! I have heard of the popcorn bucket as well, but I don't LOVE popcorn, just tolerate it (gets stuck in my teeth so badly!) so I haven't had Disney's popcorn bucket!

  9. Of course we're at AoA. You need to stop by and we can do the 'make your own pasta' meal
:-) Don't really think any of us are getting any discounts/good prices this year. I've gotten the same quote from 3 different TA's and me doing it on-line myself. So I think this time around, with no PHM discounts, what you see if what you get!!!
I HAVE to have a Mickey shaped icecream. . . and do you know, that during my last PHM trip I couldn't find one ANYWHERE??? I was devastated.
BFF loves Dole Whip, and don't feel bad. . I've gone so many times I've lost count (somewhere in the upper teens by now). . . and STILL haven't had one. It's a date then, you and me, Dole Whip!!!
    :-)
